Narrative

Thinking about the future is a polished skill, not an accident. The more you think about its shape and form the more likely you might be to achieve your visions possibilities.

Illustration discussions:

  • What is behind the door? What doors have you opened to see whats there?

  • Is is night or daytime ? Is it more fun to take a friend when exploring ?

  • Would you hold hands with Mr. or Mrs. Stick when you go through the door?

Activities

  • Starting with a short time frame, within an age-sensitive grasp, you might start with “ What shall we do next?”  This invite creates planning and thinking forward.

  • A host of follow-up questions flow smoothly into the conversation.  “What will we need to get there?”, “What might this destination look like?” “How long until we get there?”

  • A timeless childhood exploration is to find recognizable shapes in the clouds. “What do you see?”

  • A planned evening on an starry night can lead to greater thinking and imagination. Can you find a simple constellation like the Big Dipper or Orion?   Perhaps a moving satellite or a meteor… the sky is full of excitement if you look and ponder
